We focused on improving the playability of the hardware with the addition of new professional 5mm black and silver anodised brushed steel panels and fader enhancements to the already super-tough recycled ABS plastic PlayCase enclosure.

The extra precision and weight of the steel panels dramatically increases the durability and playability of PlayFader as a creative instrument.

…But what surprised us the most was how much they would profoundly impact the user experience and the performance of PlayFader as an instrument, especially with the new accelerometer functionality.

PlayFader is a fun, powerful and unique sequencer.

Each channel of PlayFader has CV and Gate outputs controlled by a Fader and Play button.

Move the Fader to adjust CV levels and press Play for gate or trigger output.

Or pick it up and use the accelerometer to control notes, chords, CV and FX.

PlayFader also offers two MIDI channels, allowing you to choose from various output options like Notes or Chords. The MIDI outputs match the analog outputs, letting you control MIDI devices while using analog synths.

Robust internal clock with sync out, transport controls and tap tempo, or lock to external clocks through CV or MIDI.

You can choose from quantised  and smooth CV - customisable user scales or voltage ranges of 2, 3, 5, or 8 volts.

Each channel has two recording buffers that can be switched and copied in real time. Plus you can play and record live transposition.

PlayFader also includes 8 FUN FX modes which allow you to take your patterns to extreme new places and back again at the push of a button. The FUN button

We carefully planned the button layout for live performances, jam sessions, and recordings.

The top row consists of Modifier buttons for quick access to settings like loop length, quantization, FX types, scales, and the global menu.

You can change these while in use, and pressing any of them will only show which page you are on without making any changes. This way, you will always know your current location.

The bottom row of buttons are the Action buttons which affect PlayFader's output. These buttons let you play notes, hit triggers, add FUN FX, clear, transpose, copy, record, and latch.

To make any actual changes, you move a Fader or press a button on the bottom row, the Action buttons.
